Message From the President
My name is Valerie Hoyos and I am incredibly honored to serve as President of the Zeta Rho Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta. Moving from Orlando, Florida I never expected to find my home at a sorority over 600 miles from my hometown. From the moment I joined Alpha Xi Delta, I knew I had found a community where I could lead, succeed, and thrive alongside women who inspire me every single day. Over the past two years serving on our Executive Council, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing how our chapter embodies the values of Alpha Xi Delta through sisterhood, leadership, knowledge, and service. At Alpha Xi Delta, every member is provided with boundless opportunities to grow and flourish, such as taking on leadership roles, participating in service projects, receiving academic support, and building meaningful connections with sisters. This chapter has given me my closest friends and memories I will cherish forever, along with the life lessons and confidence to serve as Chapter President. To any young women considering joining Alpha Xi Delta: I want you to know that this chapter is so much more than just an organization of women; it’s a family. Whether you're cheering on the Wolfpack at a football game, dancing the night away at formal, volunteering with sisters in our local Raleigh community, or sharing laughter over a meal at our house, Alpha Xi Delta will always be your home away from home. This sisterhood is filled with compassionate women who will celebrate your victories, support you through challenges, and encourage you to realize your full potential.
